Alex’s team repaired the rotten wood and painted the entire exterior of our SF Victorian. They did an impeccable job of prep and painting so that the exterior is as smooth as if the house had never been painted before. They were also meticulous in limiting the volume of paint chip debris in the garden beds, and even cleaned the window panes once the windows had been painted. And to top it all off, they strived to limit the inconvenience of the project for us and for our neighbors. Three neighbors have complimented me on their positive experience with the team. Alex Davison Painting promptly returned my calls and after comparing bids and reviews, I selected them to paint the exterior of my stucco house in San Francisco. Their bid was not the cheapest, but was in the ballpark. I was very happy with the outcome. Very nice guys to deal with, very professional about their work. They spent a good amount of time on prep work I was happy to see. Gravel scraped away from the walls, peeling areas addressed, weather stripping on doors removed, etc. I think they did a neat, tidy job and cleaned up well after the work was finished. I’m pretty picky about things like damaged plants and paint drips on the driveway, and there wasn’t a single complaint. I would recommend them, and hire them again for my next job.

Alex is great – very responsive and easy to work with. I reached out to him via Angie’s List and he responded immediately. He came by our house within a few days to discuss the project – and provided a quote immediately. He finished the job in a very timely manner, was meticulous and very detailed in his approach – even tackled a few extra issues that he noticed should be addressed to ensure everything was perfect. I’ve worked with Alex a few times over the past few years and he’s always done a great job, is a pleasure to work with. I don’t remember what the cost was, but his prices are reasonable. The first time we had some work done with re-routing pipes in our kitchen to provide a water line to our refrigerator. The plumber had cut holes all over the place trying to access where he neeed to be. The wall was a mess. I don’t know all the construction terms… but he filled in the wall and was very detailed in the painting and made sure it blended well with the existing wall that we were not painting. The work was done over a few days to allow the plaster and paint to dry. He kept the area really clean was flexible getting the job done with our schedules. He recently did a small job at my office. It was a last minute project and he was very responsive and really nice about squeezing me in amongst his other jobs. I’ve seen some of his other work, and will definitley be hiring him when it’s time to paint our house! There have been several other contractors I’ve worked with who take weeks to call back, or don’t even show up for an appointment. Alex is reliable and I feel comfortable that the work will get done and done well.

Alex and his crew have done several projects for me, both large and small. This was the most recent and came out perfect. They have been great on quality and price. Have come back when needed for touch-ups or minor additional items as requested. Was one of the sub contractors that was able to help keep us on time and on budget. You can pay a little less, but you will get a lot less in quality and service. Love working with them.

Alex and his team perform phenomenal work. He is really knowledgeable and communicates well. We are really happy with all of the work product. He is a class act and even gave us a tin of holiday truffles after the project was over. The only minor setback is that our new garage door sat unfinished for a little bit longer than we had hoped even though there were a few stretches of sunny dry days. It’s probably that he is in high demand due to the high quality of work they do. We will be calling him up again in the near future for some more electrical work patching.
